Laxaþjóð | A Salmon Nation – the New Film From Patagonia

Open net salmon farming is a harmful practice that’s driving wild salmon to extinction. Patagonia has been campaigning against it for a while, culminating in numerous campaigns some of which we’ve been involved in, such as their 2019 Artifishal campaign.

Now the fight is happening in Iceland where a government bill, set to be reviewed in the coming weeks, will decide whether to ban the practice. Sadly, Iceland’s communities have been uncovering the dirty secrets of open net salmon farming firsthand.
