Mammut Film Wins Best Short at Kendal Mountain Festival 2021
Produced by nativve alongside OBR Studios, the film was one of two of the brand’s mental health-focused films selected for this year’s festival
Two short films Nativve worked on alongside film production company OBR Studios for outdoor brand Mammut were selected to be shown at the 2021 Kendal Mountain Festival with one winning the prestigious Best Short award.
Premiering at the festival, Totally Alone features ex-soldier and martial arts expert Andy Fu telling his story of mental resilience and the healing powers of nature, solitude and human connection during a difficult time.
Made in support of suicide prevention charity CALM, the moving film went on to be selected as winner of the Best Short award at the festival, an achievement that’s testament to both Andy’s bravery in telling his story and the excellent work of OBR Studios in bringing that story to the screen.
The second film, The Other Side was featured as part of the festival’s online roster of films and was created for Mammut in association with Andy Airey and PAPYRUS, a UK charity for the prevention of young suicide. Sensitively dealing with the raw pain of losing a child to suicide and the strength it takes to build something positive out of the grief, the film was originally shot in 2020 and promoted by Nativve through Mammut’s digital channels.
